Grt. Why Not ‘Roundabout’ AM/AOS x L. splendida ‘Hamlyn’ AM/AOS
Seedlings (grown from seed).
Another wonderful hybrid by dad, Claude Hamilton of Hamlyn Orchids. These should produce flowers similar to those of Blt. Audrey McIntosh (L. luddemanii x Grt. Why Not); clusters of dark red to red-purple on tall upright spikes. The plants offered for sale are near flowering size plants in 3” pots that are 1+ years from flowering. Photo #1 shows flowers similar to what we expect; Photo #2 shows an example of the size offered for sale.
These should be grown in Cattleya-type conditions: bright filtered light (2,500-3,000 fc) and water when the media has dried.
