Cattleya violacea fma flamea x sib
Grown from seed.
Lovely, compact growing South American species whose flowers are sweetly fragrant. These are flowering size plants growing in 4” pots. As a bifoliate Cattleya these should only be repotted when they have a new growth that has just started to root. Prefers warmer temps year round.
Photo #1 shows the flower from a sibling plant from this grex. All the plants we have flowered so far have been of the flamea form. A high quality grex that we expect will see several awards to come.
These grow well for us in our “Cattleya House”, which receives bright filtered light (2,500-3,000 foot candles) and is watered when the media dries.
